Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (NAPI) is attending the National Tribal Conservation Districts and USDA Tribal Conference in Catoosa, OK, hosted by the Indian Nations Conservation Alliance (INCA).
The conference is scheduled for November 26 – 30 and provides opportunities to connect with decision makers and participants from communities all over the country.
INCA’s fall newsletter, released on September 24, states, “Several big issues are to be discussed including Tribal Participation in NCRS Conservation efforts, irrigation projects, LiDar Mapping, as well as USDA/Tribal relations and many more.”
Delane Atcitty, NAPI Board Member and newly appointed INCA Deputy Director will provide a presentation on NAPI during the conference. The INCA newsletter says, “Delane Atcitty comes to INCA with a balanced approach to native resource management through conservation practices. He feels that a balanced approach is needed to protect our native culture and natural resources while improving economic opportunities on tribal lands.”
